Dwayne Johnson exalted the DCs Black Adam films every chance he has. This is one of the most anticipated films of the year! The question is, does it live up to the hype? Well, a group of critics recently had the opportunity to watch the film and many of them shared their reactions on social media.
It is a mixed bag of thoughts from those who have seen the film. While some have enjoyed it tremendously, some people have had problems with it. For the most part, however, it seems the consensus is that this is a fun and entertaining action movie. This is pretty much what I expected from the film.

#BlackAdam is a turning point !! This is the #DCComics movie I was waiting for and it didn’t let me down. @The rock it’s as electrifying as Black Adam! This is what I wanted Black Adam to be. The action in the film is non-stop and see it #JSA on the big screen it was a thrill! pic.twitter.com/NigTxsfmd7

Black Adam was a great watch, I enjoyed seeing all the characters interact and I enjoyed seeing how they navigated the gray area #BlackAdam operates in e @The rock it does so surprisingly. Doctor Fate and Hawkman were great and it was great to see their characters come to life!

A.D #BlackAdam ROCKS! Tons of action, characters you get hooked in right away, and a terrific pace. Dwayne Johnson finds a great balance of being menacing and tough, but also empathetic. Especially loved Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman and Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate. More JSA movies please! pic.twitter.com/YSCco9zYA3

Black Adam is the best superhero movie of 2022 so far because it delivers exactly what it promises and what fans are looking for. The story works as a great introduction to the title character and the JSA. I see fans coming back for seconds or thirds. In other words, #BlackAdam rocks!

I saw #BlackAdam! This was one of my most anticipated films of the year and it didn’t disappoint. The action sequences were amazing, especially the ones with the JSA. The Rock crushes him like Black Adam. The end of the film left me with high hopes for the future of the DCEU. pic.twitter.com/vd0Zy35lWT

#BlackAdam he’s a worthy new piece of the DC puzzle, but not the savior he promised.
A surprisingly compressed timeline keeps the action exciting and the propulsive pace, but also transforms its many (many) themes, plots and characters into imaginative showcases. It’s messy in a watchable way. pic.twitter.com/uwZUb2hbiM

#BlackAdam is DC’s most action-packed film to date. It’s a non-stop thrill ride focused on show, and he knows it. Ther3 is barely at any time to breathe, or even speak. @The rock he is a perfect Black Adam, plus Pierce Brosnon is an extraordinary one. The film will drive fans crazy! pic.twitter.com/HxCYYNw71w

Senior writer @ artbyatlas0 saw #BLACKADAM! She says the film is @The rockthe best performance to date and gives the character the title he deserves.
He also says that of Pierce Brosnan #DoctorFate he is the heart of the JSA and an absolute thief of scenes.

.@The rock is fantastic #BlackAdam, which includes an abundant amount of real-world milestones (the most touching thing is that it reinforces the need for heroes in dark times). Director Juame Collet-Serra exposes the building blocks for a bigger and grander universe. The action is lively and of BIG scale. pic.twitter.com/pDBkSHRDrI

#BlackAdam is based on epic, seamless action. It immediately made me want a sequel with a smoother story.
When it moves, it is a direct rush of adrenaline. The characters are great, especially Teth-Adam and Doctor Fate. It’s a crap movie. pic.twitter.com/XeMFgcB3OG

#BlackAdam at first he struggles to find his location, but once the Justice Society enters, it becomes more fun to watch. Dwayne Johnson’s antihero presents an intriguing new dynamic at the DCEU. Solid visual effects. bad weak. The post-credits scene had the biggest reaction of all. pic.twitter.com/qbVmWkYLjv

#BlackAdam it’s not perfect but the potential is there. The script lacks character depth and time @The rock looks the part, leaves a lot to be desired. Dr. Fate and Hawkman steal the show as the perfect duo. Ultimately, the great hero scenes are tough but fail in the story. pic.twitter.com/D2tt21Dhax

I had to go through the metal detectors for the Black Adam NY screening. Too bad it’s bad: no emotional depth, zero sense of danger for the main character, and boring CGI battles. #BlackAdam pic.twitter.com/gUjxHy1oUO
