The first reactions to Dwayne Johnson’s BLACK ADAM have come and here’s what people are saying

Dwayne Johnson exalted the DCs Black Adam films every chance he has. This is one of the most anticipated films of the year! The question is, does it live up to the hype? Well, a group of critics recently had the opportunity to watch the film and many of them shared their reactions on social media.

It is a mixed bag of thoughts from those who have seen the film. While some have enjoyed it tremendously, some people have had problems with it. For the most part, however, it seems the consensus is that this is a fun and entertaining action movie. This is pretty much what I expected from the film.

Here is the synopsis:

In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam received the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers to take revenge, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Almost 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has passed from man, to myth, to legend. Now released, his unique form of justice, born of anger, is challenged by the modern day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone.

Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge (Underground, the invisible man), who plays Hawkman in the film; Noah Centineo (To all the guys I’ve loved before, Charlie’s Angels) as Atom Smasher; Quintess Swindell (Costume jewelery, Euphoria) as Cyclone; And Pierce Brosnan (Golden Eye, Mamma Mia!) such as Doctor Fate, as well as Sara Shahi (Person of interest, The L Word), Marwan Kenzari (The Old Guard, Aladdin), And Uli Latukefu (Young rock), who were chosen for unspecified roles.

Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle cruise) directs Black Adamfrom the most recent screenplay, written by Rory Haines And Sohrab Noshirvani. Adam Sztykiel wrote the previous draft.

Black Adam will be released in theaters on October 21, 2022.
