Despite the delays, “Transformers: The Awakening of the Beasts” is still ongoing and its director, Steven Caple Jr., has announced two new purchases via his Instagram account: Pete Davidson and Michelle Yeoh, even if we can only listen to them. The Saturday Night Live comedian will lend his voice to the Autobot known as Mirage, a spy who survived the events of the Battle of Chicago who was betrayed by humans. In “Transformers” and “Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon” he was played by the late Francesco Quinn, but then transformed into a red Ferrari 458 Italia and now he will do it in a silver and blue Porsche 964.

For its part, the actress of Everything immediately everywhere ‘ will give voice to the Massimo called Airazor, a character capable of flying, with a highly developed vision and precise aim. Unlike the Autobots, when Maximals enter Beast mode they transform into mammals, birds or fish and Yeoh’s Airazor will have the ability to transform into a peregrine falcon.

Caple has posted a video where we can see both actors in the dubbing sessions with a caption that says: “Pete Davidson undercover. The ‘Transformers’ cast is great, man. A sneak peek of Pete voicing Mirage and Michelle Yeoh blessing us as the voice of Airazor.”

What awaits us

Set in 1994, “Transformers: Beasts Awaken” adapts the plot of the 90s cartoon “Beast Wars” and stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. Noah and Elena play, two humans who find themselves involved in an ancient conflict involving Maximal, Terrorcon and Predacon that will take them on a journey through the world. Temporarily located between “Bumblebee” and the Michael Bay films, it will serve in part to tell the story of Optimus Prime and his first arrival on Earth. Arcee will also appear, one of the few female autobots, and as we said we will see the Terrorcon, a kind of zombie robot affected by the dark Energon, and the Predacon, transformers whose alternate mode are wild animals like a rhino.

This seventh installment of the “Transformers” saga is filmed between New York and Peru and also features Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal. The screenplay is written by Joby Harold, Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber. Paramount Pictures is scheduled to premiere on June 9, 2023.
