The month of October has already begun and with it come the new releases of films and series on streaming platforms, and like every month hbo max comes with new productions to keep you entertained from the comfort of your home or wherever you prefer. These are the previews that the platform will have 10-16 October.
Viale 5 – 10 October
This 2020 comedy and science fiction series premieres its second season. Set 40 years in the future, it takes us all Hugh Laurie’s signature humor to the screen. “Avenue 5” follows Captain Clark and the crew of a luxury space cruiser as they navigate disgruntled through a series of unexpected events after encountering technical difficulties on board.
The series was created by Armando Lannucci for HBO Max, who previously directed the hit political comedy series “Veep”. Now “Avenue 5” premieres its second season with all the humor characteristic of this author and his protagonist Hugh Laurie. The cast also includes Suzy Nakamura, Rebecca Front and Zach Woods, Josh Gad among others.
Oh Hell – October 10, 2022
The series “Oh Hell” tells us about the life of 24-year-old Helene, for whom her world is the exact opposite of perfection shown on instagram. In addition, she bears part of the blame for her parents’ divorce. When she meets cello teacher Oskar, she Helene has the chance to live the life she has always imagined.

This is a German series written and directed by Johannes Boss, under the production of Good Friends Filmproduktion and Magenta TV. The cast includes Mala Emde, Edin Hasanovic, Salka Weber, Deborah Kaufmann, Knut Berger, Thomas Loibl, Madieu Ulbrich, Rosa Henriette Löwe, Romi Dörlitz, Birgit Berthold, Banafshe Hourmazdi, Leon Ullrich and Sarina Radomski.
38 at the Garden – 11 October 2022
This documentary tells us about the hostile situation that Americans face Asian origin within the sports area, particularly within the sport burst, basketball. He tells us about the extraordinary rise of point guard Jeremy Lin during a historic 2012 when he was part of the New York Knicks.
The film is a production of GTG Entertainment, Golden State Entertainment, Mr. Fahrenheit for HBO Max, and is directed by Frank Chi, known for his social themed productions, the music is by Jina Hyojin An, while the photography is by Othello Banaci. It’s about 38 minutes long, short compared to other films, but long enough to be compelling.
An Argentine crime – October 14th
The film, ‘An Argentine Crime’ is a thriller based on a real crime It happened in 1980. He tells us about the intriguing disappearance of a wealthy businessman in the city of Rosario, in the middle of the military dictatorship. The investigation is led by two young lawyers, who will both try to solve the case by addressing police corruption.
It is directed by Lucas Combina, being an Argentine production of Particular Crowd, Mediabyte, Pampa Films. With a screenplay by Jorge Bechara, Matías Bertilotti, Sebastián Pivotto and a cast composed of Nicolás Francella, Matías Mayer, Luis Luque, Malena Sánchez, Darío Grandinetti, Rita Cortese, Alberto Ajaka, César Bordón, Luis Rubio, Miguel Franchi, Roberto Moiano.
These four productions can be found on HBO Max from 10-16 October. They may not conform to the horror season, but they promise to offer you good content, whether you like drama, social themes or absurd humor, we recommend that you search for them on the streaming platform so that you can enjoy them this week.
