The MCU’s most famous lawyer, Daredevil, made his long-awaited comeback in the “She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk” series last week. Her appearance, which kept fans nervous until the penultimate episode, was celebrated in style in the series’ most voted episode. Played by Charlie Cox, Matt Murdock is back on screen after the cancellation of his own Netflix series, “Daredevil”, but with a new reboot in sight for Disney + in 2024: “Daredevil: Born Again”. However, fans couldn’t help but see some differences between the Daredevil they knew and the one who shared the screen (and more) with She-Hulk.
In the episode, Matt Murdock jokes that his powers no longer work the same way, which according to Comicbook could be due to what happens to him at the end of “The Defenders” and the third season of “Daredevil”. This, added to the change in clothing and attitude, gave rise to it fans speculate that it could be a multiverse variant of the initial character. Commenting on Daredevil’s change, Jessica Gao, the series creator and lead writer, comments: “We said ‘This is our version'”.
He’s not even the same character from the Spider-Man movie. That felt more like the true daredevil of the Netflix show. So she and all of phase four are a different universe than the real MCU?

One of the key differences that has divided fans is Murdock’s sense of humor, too, criticized for being “Disney” and differ from the darker tone of the Netflix seriesbut despite this many have argued that it was already palpable in the miniseries “The Defenders”.

Gao is aware of the change in mood, which is a matter of the tone of the series. While in other productions you can see the characters “in very dramatic roles, with situations of great pressure and risk “there is more relaxation in ‘Abogada Hulka’ than according to the creator “deals with everyday life”where is it the actors and their characters can be taken “a kind of holiday in comedy”. This allows Daredevil to investigate “what’s happening to himself” and you gives the opportunity to “really explore a very different part of the character, because no one can be at the end of their wits to save the world every minute of the day”says the creator.
I liked it because he was clearly the same person as the Netflix series Daredevil, only in a more lighthearted context. He always had a sense of humor, he always felt like gallows humor because that show was so gritty.

If this is a variant of Daredevil, Marvel dispelled all the rumors on its official pageaffirming it “He’s the same Matt Murdock that audiences have known and loved over the years, played once again by Charlie Cox.”. This indicates it all perceived changes show only different facets of Daredevil which was released on Netflix and will star in its series with “Daredevil: Born Again”, although we will have to wait until 2024 to see if its more playful side or its darker side will prevail more.
there are still surprises
Daredevil’s participation in the penultimate chapter was an expected surprise, but it’s not the only familiar face we have yet to see. As seen in a new place of the series, Mark Ruffalo will return as the Hulk in full confrontation with the Abomination.
