Netflix has released another fantastic new trailer for the highly anticipated stop-motion animated horror film Wendell & Wild. The film was directed by Henry Selickthe director of The nightmare before Christmas And Coraline and tells the story of the “hellish and funny demons of a teenager named Kat”. The film is also the protagonist Jordan Peel And Keegan-Michael Key, and is described as a “phantom thrill ride”. That sounds like a lot of fun!
Wendell & Wild follows a pair of demon brothers who trick a troubled teen named Kat Elliott (Lyric Ross), in taking them from the underworld to the land of the living and chaos ensues. “What Kat asks in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comical adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the artisanal art of stop motion.”
The rest of the voice cast includes Lyric Ross (This is us), Angela Bassett (Black Panther), Giacomo Hong (Kung Fu Panda), Tamara Smart (A babysitter’s guide to monster hunting), Natalie Martinez (“The twilight zone”), So much cardinal (Dance with the wolves), Gabriele Dennis, Igal Naor, David Harewood, Maxine Peake, Ramona Young (“I have never”), Sam Zelaya, Seema Virdi, Gary GatewoodAnd Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Dawn of the Dead).
Netflix will be released in select theaters on October 21, 2022, followed by the streaming premiere of Netflix on October 28.
