Norman Reedus teases the sensation of his new WALKING DEAD spin-off series, titled DARYL DIXON

As we approach the conclusion of AMC’s greatest series of all time, The walking dead, we’re also going full steam ahead on the next set of spin-off series that are expected to launch after its conclusion. We have the Maggie and Negan series in New York, the Rick and Michonne series on the East Coast, and the Daryl series, which we now know will simply be titled Daryl Dixonwhich takes place in Paris, France.

This will be a series where Daryl (Norman Reedus) will have to “reinvent himself anew, find himself and also not be with – probably – the only people in the world he feels comfortable with”, Scott Gimplehead of the franchise, explained earlier.

Reedus teased the vibe of the new series, which is gearing up for filming in France, in a recent appearance on The talking deadAMC TWD After-Show:

“We haven’t started yet, but it’s getting real right now. All the preparation is happening, Greg is out there getting everyone back into shape right now. The sets are crazy. There are castles! It’s a whole different level. Photography. it’s going to be crazy, the tone, the feel, the sound it will be different. It will have a different atmosphere. “

Originally developed by Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang e TWDU chief content officer Scott M. Gimple as a Daryl and Carol spinoff, the reworked series instead focuses on Daryl as he wakes up on the European continent not knowing how he got there or how he’s coming home. Longtime co-star of Reedus Melissa McBridewho plays Carol from the first season of The walking deaddropped the series when production moved from the US to Europe, though Reedus and McBride assured fans that Daryl and Carol will reunite somewhere along the way.

It’s getting exciting to hear how this show is taking shape. I think it’s going to be really cool to get a total change of scenery and a new direction of history in this world. Daryl Dixon is expected to premiere in 2023 on AMC and AMC +. Are you looking forward to this spin-off?
