Reese Witherspoon produces animated Goldilocks and THE THREE BEARS in collaboration with Build-A-Bear

Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine has embarked on a new animated project. They are developing the classic children’s story Goldilocks and the Three Bears in a movie and are teaming up with Build-A-Bear to make it happen.

The film, which marks the first feature film from Hello Sunshine’s children’s and animation division, will be a modern take on the classic tale that leans on the title character as a powerful female lead..

This is the first partnership between Hello Sunshine and Build-A-Bear, the global branded toys and entertainment company for families.

Claire Curley, Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine’s Head of Children and Animation, said of the project:

“Over the past 25 years, Build-A-Bear has built a trusted fan base rooted in family, personal connection and storytelling with teddy bears, making them the perfect partner for this project,” Curley said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with them to bring a new perspective to a story so timeless that we know it will inspire young audiences.”
