On September 30, the new project by Paco León was previewed on Netflix, which more than a film to use is a mixture of disciplines such as dance, fashion, plastic arts and, above all, music. It is also an extensive adaptation of the literary classic “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, in addition to the debut as an actor of the singer and model Dora. Still don’t know her? We solve it with this exclusive featurette:

‘Rainbow’ is the story of Dora, a teenager with a huge talent for music and irrepressible energy. Dora doesn’t know her mother, so after a strong argument with her father he decides to go look for her and thus begins a journey with her dog Toto that will take her to Capital City. Along the way, he will make new friends, but also dangerous enemies. Only her vitality and her magic will help her reach her destination, which is just the beginning of another journey.

Together with Dora, the film stars Carmen Maura, Carmen Machi, Hovik Keuchkerian and Luis Bermejo, who have nothing but words of admiration for an artist who has just turned 18. “She has enormous talent that overflows because she has such an incredible personality and incredible maturity, but at the same time she is a child. She has a wonderful balance as an artist.”Machi says; “But above all Dora is a friend”Bermejo points out.

But if there’s one thing Maura and León stand out for, it’s their role as a singer. “It is wonderful that with his young age it is so clear that his life is music”, says the actress, and does not lie for what we see in the images of the take off where we see Dora singing and dancing constantly. And the director is particularly proud to have embarked on this adventure with her: “I knew it wasn’t just going to be a professional journey, but also a personal one, because it’s at a very point in his life and career where he’s starting to connect with his art and this has been a very powerful experience.”

The cast is completed by rapper and actor Ayax Pedrosa, Nigerian artist and cultural agitator Wekaforé Jibril, versatile Samantha Hudson, Carmina Barrios and Soraya Yasmin, and they make a special collaboration with Rossy de Palma and Ester Expósito. “Rainbow” is now available on Netflix.
