The director of both productions, Ryan Coogler, revealed that he was leaving the cinema after the disappearance of Boseman.

In a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly, the director shared his experience when this sad event occurred: “I got to a point where I said: ‘I walk away from this deal’. I didn’t know if I could do another costume movie or another “Black Panther” movie, because it hurt me a lot. I was like, ‘How could I open up to feel like this again?’ “.
The director of ‘Creed. The legend of Rocky ‘ revealed that she spent the following weeks looking at photographs with Boseman, remembering her relationship with the actor and reviewing their latest conversations.. Coogler thus regained his passion for the kingdom of Wakanda: “I was going through a lot of conversations we had, in what I realized was the end of his life. I decided it made more sense to move on”.
Why wasn’t someone else hired like T’Challa?
Through Empire last September, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also talked about Boseman’s death and how they decided to deal with their loss within the franchise: “We decided it was too early to give T’Challa a new role.. Stan Lee has always said that Marvel represents the world outside his window. And we talked about how, however extraordinary and fantastic our characters and our stories are, there is always a human and recognizable element in everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan put it in the story”.
“The conversations were: what do we do now? How could Chadwick’s legacy continueand everything he had done to help Wakanda and Black Panther become these incredible, ambitious and iconic ideas? That’s what it was about. “Feige continued to explain.
