I have some interesting news about the film for all of you Sam Raimi fans out there! Producer Roy Lee recently let slip that the director is directing a remake Anthony Hopkinsclassic 1978 horror film Magic. This is a terrifying horror movie with an evil doll and I can’t help but be a little stunned that Raimi is developing a new version of the movie.

During a recent interview on the latest episode of Post Mortem, Lee stated the following: “I’ve only worked with [Sam Raimi] as a film producer … actually … the first time I’m going to work with him as a director is on a remake of Magic, which is something we’re working on right now. Anthony Hopkins’ film. We are just listening to the final versions of the different shootings of the writers next week. “

Lee added: “[Sam] I really enjoyed the original film and the book written by William Goldman ”. So, it seems like Raimi has some wacky ideas that he wants to race with for a new movie and it will be interesting to see what he has in store.

I’ve been wanting to see Raimi direct another full-fledged horror movie for years and it looks like it will come in the form of Magic.

In the original 1978 film, based on Goldman’s book, “A ventriloquist is at the mercy of his evil mannequin as he tries to renew a romance with his high school sweetheart.”

Sam Raimi recently directed Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness for Marvel, which I thought was a lot of fun!
