the towering ‘Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Three times’ (2021) marked the end of the new big screen adaptation of Rebuild of Evangelion. This work created by Hideaki Anno has thus come to an end, giving us an unforgettable experience. Now it officially arrives Mexican cinemaswith 4DX and IMAX projections.

Evangelion mythology is complex and challenging for anyone. For those who have not seen it, it is a science fiction story of the mecha genre, an apocalyptic epic, full of existential twists, full of mysteries and questions until the last minute.

Evangelion a classic anime filled with philosophical questions and thrilling battles

The saga created by Hideaki Anno in 1995 and his reboot of the film in 2007 ends with “Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” (2021). The whole story is a macro story full of thrilling battles, but also full of philosophical issues, as well as moral and ethical issues.

For this fourth installment of the reconstruction of Evangelion, we are faced with the emotional vestiges of Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley and Rei Ayanami after the Third impact. Meanwhile, Misato and Ritsuko continue with their Wille organization focused on defeating NERV, led by Gendo Ikari trying to generate the fourth impact.

Rebuild of Evangelion’s fourth and final arc is jarring and disconcerting, but with a first half so calm that there seems to have been no catastrophe. Let’s find out more about the consequences of the third impact in a small town where Shinji meets friends from the past.

The dystopia is the stage of the great final battle between Shinji and his father Gendo Ikari. Torn between saving humanity or causing the fourth impactand now for all fans of the saga, the film arrives in Mexican cinemas this September 29th and for the screen IMAX on October 6th.

With all of the above, the theatrical premiere in Mexico of this latest film of the classic Neon Genesis Evangelion will be a real event, if you’ve already seen the film and want to relive all the excitement or if you haven’t seen it and now you’re lucky. to see it on a big screen, in normal cinemas or even in IMAX, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
