Although Harley Quinn and the Joker are two characters so crazy that anyone could fear, they are not the only murderer or criminal couple in the cinema. Well, there are other suspense films with some of the most ruthless, accurate and terrifying duets in the history of cinema, and which would leave behind any barbarism committed by the DC Comics duo.
Bonnie and Clyde
Probably after Harley Quinn and the Joker, one of the most recognized criminal couples is that of Bonnie and Clyde, nicknamed by some the “modern Robin Hood”. This duo starred in a 1967 film directed by Arthur Penn and starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, which chronicles the couple’s years of robberies, murders and kidnappings. Available on Amazon Prime Video.
BabyDriver
With almost the same degree of insanity, there are too friend and darling ‘Baby Driver ‘, the action and suspense film by Edgar Wright. This couple with Jon Hamm and Eiza González are the enemies of Baby, a fairly skilled pilot who wants to get out of the criminal underworld, but who gets dragged into him when he falls in love with a girl. Available on Netflix.
Chucky’s bride
When the Chucky franchise couldn’t be stranger, “The Bride of Chucky” is out, a horror film starring Tiffany and Chucky himself, two diabolical dolls that mix horror and comedy. One of the most toxic relationships in the movies and one that also handles some of the most unpredictable madnesses since Dr. Harlin Quinzel and the Joker.
Natural born killers
Explosive, delusional and certainly with some mental problem too, it is pair of Mickey and Marolly ‘Natural born killers’, a film that was written by Quentin Tarantino and involved Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, Robert Downey Jr. and Tommy Lee Jones. The story follows two serial killers whose one of their greatest passions is to create chaos. Available on HBO Max and Star +.
Sweeney Todd
Without a doubt, when it comes to the twisted chemistry that exists between Joker and Harley Quinn, few resist, or really, Sweeney Todd’s criminal duo and Ms. Lovett is one of the few who do. Played by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, this duo is just as distinctive, irreverent and colorful that they have little or nothing to envy to the others. Available on HBO Max.
People under the stairs
Finally, Wes Craven’s film ‘The People Under the Stairs’ has one of the creepiest couples, mom and dad Robbenson, who on the surface seem completely normal, but it’s when two thieves break into their home that they demonstrate the rather unstable relationship in which they are located.
