Did you like the first season of Batman: Wayne Family Adventures? The Eisner Award-nominated comic will start its second season on September 28. Offering a glimpse of life on the Batman family, the webcomic written by CRC Payne and the art of Star Bite was born from a collaboration between WEBTOON and DC.
I appreciate that this new collaboration with WEBTOON has helped bring more attention to more Batman family members to a newer audience. There are some great characters in the comics who just don’t get much attention from the mainstream media, so any chance to make these other characters shine is great. I haven’t read it yet, but I have kept up with other comics that have come out of this collaboration, namely Zatanna and the Ripperand I’m just getting started Red Hood: Outlaw and I really enjoyed it.
The main thing I really like is that you don’t necessarily have to have in-depth knowledge of the characters to follow the story and enjoy it. Comic book characters have a long and rich history behind them which can make it very intimidating for new readers to enter.
I hope this collaboration can continue to bring more characters from the DC universe to new readers. Enjoy some of these images from the second season of Batman: Wayne Family Adventures.
