On November 22, 1963, the then president of the United States was assassinated, an event that gave rise to many investigations and theories about his death. This tragic moment inspired famed writer Stephen King for a novel, which would be adapted into a Hulu miniseries, also available on HBO Max.

With James Franco, Sarah Gadon, Josh Duhamel, Daniel Webber, George McKay, among others, ‘22.11.63’ It’s a suspenseful miniseries. and science fiction of 8 chapters based on the novel ’11 / 22/63 ‘written by Stephen King and produced by JJ Abrams, King himself, Bridget Carpenter and Bryan Burk. When it premiered in 2016, it was released via Hulu, but is now available on HBO Max already.

Before Stephen King even began writing his novel, Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme announced that he would face a big screen adaptation. But after some discussions with the writer, he abandoned the project. Eventually, Kevin Macdonald remained as the director of ‘22.11.63’, premiered on February 15, 2016.

The story of ‘22.11.63’ with James Franco as Jake Epping, a recently divorced high school teacher. The teacher, for some reason, travels into the past with the intention of preventing the assassination of the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, but his mission to prevent the assassination is threatened.

Epping begins a new life in the 1960s upon his arrival from the future, realizing that his condition has improved in many ways, his mission to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy is compromised. ’11 .22.63 ‘deals with a question that has been seen many times in science fiction, the consequences that changing the past brings to the present.

During the filming of “11.22.63”, the production moved from Ontario to Dallas, specifically Dealey Plaza, the place where John F. Kennedy was originally assassinated. The topic of what would have happened if the President of the United States were still alive has sparked a lot of interest, as have theories that the killer who caused his death was never caught and only a scapegoat was caught. .

At its premiere, “11.22.63” received favorable reviews for its drama, although they also highlighted the inconsistency in some aspects of time travel and the science fiction aspect. But if you don’t care about those details, you can enjoy a very engaging and suspenseful miniseries that will introduce you to the entire plot.
