The Marvel Cinematic Universe welcomes you his first foray into pure and simple terror with ‘Werewolf By Night’, a special designed to launch on Disney + for Halloween. Recover the essence of classic monster moviesthis proposal directed by Michael Giacchino brought the audience of the Fantastic Fest to the streets, a festival that had not revealed its plans to screen the new Marvel Studios.

So, surprisingly, the participants came across a special screening of ‘Werewolf By Night’, a telefilm directed by Gael García Bernal and Laura Donnelly, which won enormously for that way of approaching the aforementioned genre, framing it in the UCM. Giacchino, composer of the soundtracks of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, ‘Coco’, ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘Up’, for which he won an Oscar; makes his debut as a director of a Marvel project receiving all the applause.
Many of those present highlight the skill of this filmmaker who, in addition to being behind the cameras, doubles, composing the BSO. Giacchino leads a story that tells the struggle for survival of Jack Russell (Bernal), werewolf trying to keep his supernatural identity secret amidst a group of monster hunters whose mission is to find the imposter among them. Peter Cameron and Heather Quinn are the writers of this special which, of course, has just revealed its duration. 52 minutes this TV Movie would last counting the credits, that is, more or less like a generous chapter of any series.
Very enthusiastic reactions
It is already known that until criticism is released, we cannot get too excited just by what we read on social media, but in this case the feeling seems to be good. Those who have already seen ‘Werewolf By Night’ especially emphasize its violence, ensuring that with the excuse of black and white chosen as a visual style, Giacchino has included quite gory moments.
Werewolf By Night was the first secret screening of the Fantastic Fest. Super fun and great use of black and white and the classic Universal Monsters style. Surprisingly violent that they can get away with due to the lack of color. Lots of neat Easter eggs for Marvel Monster kids.

Marvel Disney + shows have been all over the place when it comes to map quality, but #WerewolfByNight it’s easily the best thing they’ve done. Yes, even better than #Moon Knight (that you all know that I loved) pic.twitter.com/JYhwimtJgm

#WerewolfByNight is the most idiosyncratic MCU project since GOTG. so well? No. But it’s a remarkable breath of fresh air to see Marvel try something like this, as its tone and style are VERY like the trailer.
More so, please. Comics are weird. Let’s be weird. ? pic.twitter.com/Z2kCmEYohM

* “”Werewolf By Night” is the most peculiar MCU project we’ve seen since “Guardians of the Galaxy”. So good? No. But it’s an amazing breath of fresh air to see Marvel give something like this a chance, [para que os hagáis a una idea] its tone and style are VERY close to the trailer. More so, please.
