Babylon 5 Creator J. Michael Straczynski took to social media to reach out to fans to help support the reboot announced last year. Straczynski is writing and executive producing the reboot under his Studio JMS brand. Warner Bros. Television is also back to produce the series, and as you know, all kinds of projects have been closed at WB right now.
The fate of the reboot will be decided soon and in anticipation of that, Straczynski tweeted:
“It was never my way to ask B5 fans and followers for a solid on behalf of the show. Because I feel it’s my role, and the role of the show, to be in your service, not the other way around. But tomorrow, for the first time in 22 years, I’ll ask. “
He then asked fans to show their support for the Babylon 5 reboot on social media by tweeting about it in an attempt to influence Warner Bros. TV’s final decision:
“The fate of the # Babylon5 pilot could be decided at the end of this month, even though much of @TheCW has been bought by @NXSTMediaGroup, the decision is also up to @WarnerbrosTV. If fans want to show their support for B5 and let them know you wish this to happen, now is # B5onCWin23 time. “
So, if you’re a fan of the original series and excited about the reboot, you can help Straczynski by showing your love for it on social media.
The new iteration of Babylon 5 it is described as a “reboot from scratch”. In the series, “John Sheridan, an Earthforce officer with a mysterious past, is assigned to Babylon 5, a five-mile long space station in neutral space, a stopover for travelers, smugglers, corporate explorers and alien diplomats in a troubled peacetime. and the constant threat of war. His arrival triggers a fate beyond anything he could have imagined, as an Earth exploration company accidentally ignites a conflict with a civilization a million years ahead of us, putting Sheridan and the rest of the world ahead of us. ‘crew of the B5 in the firing line as the last, the best hope for the survival of the human race ”.
I love the original series and hope this reboot happens! I could not wait. The original Babylon 5 is now streaming on HBO Max.
The fate of the # Babylon5 the pilot could be decided at the end of this month. Although a lot of @TheCW was bought by @NXSTMediaGroup the decision also depends heavily on @WarnerbrosTV.
