One of the announcements that no one saw coming was that of the sequel to ‘Constantine’, which will bring Keanu Reeves back into the character created by Neil Gaiman, 17 years after the first film. However, fans are upset that Henry Cavill as Superman has been forgotten and want the “Man of Steel” movie to receive the same treatment.

This week Deadline reported that ‘Constantine’ will have a second part with Keanu Reeves, which was a nice surprise for fans of the DC Comics character. However, the announcement also had consequences, as JJ Abrahams’ series for HBO Max was canceled in favor of the John Constantine project.

On the other hand, fans of the DCEU, especially the one Zack Snyder got with Henry Cavill, they are shocked ‘Constantine 2’ get there first ‘Man of Steel 2’. And on social media they expressed their disagreement by asking Warner Bros to give them a new opportunity, even when plans for the future of the DC Extended Universe do not include the protagonist of ‘The Witcher’.

For its part, Henry Cavill wants to be Superman again, and claimed to have waited a long time for Warner’s call to put on the suit again. While the company has made it clear that they have no plans for the Man of Steel, and have even used the character, but without showing Cavill’s face, and using stunts to record the scenes, as in “Shazam” and “Peacemaker”.

Will Henry Cavill return as Superman to the UEDC?

Right now Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for the new president of the DC Films division, something similar to what Kevin Feige does at Marvel Studios, who can set clear goals with UEDC films after the premiere of “The Flash” . But when Walter Hamada was in charge of the company, he confirmed that Henry Cavill will not be returning as Superman.

Sure, with new managers, things may change from moment to moment, but while some believe Warner Bros. Discovery may be for the worse, even with an impending purchase of NBC Universal, according to recent reports, others still believe that c is a hope to pick up where Zack Snyder left off in the UEDC.

Also, recently, rumors link Henry Cavill in several important franchises of the moment, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in different roles of which there are still no official details. And in the second season of HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’, that could worsen the character landscape of him in DC Comics.
