During the recent Nintendo Direct, the classic first person shooter game was unveiled Golden eye 007 it would make its way into the N64 library available via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass.
However, this isn’t the only way fans will be able to enjoy classic gaming on modern consoles. It was also announced by Rare and Xbox Golden eye 007 it is also directed to Xbox consoles via Xbox Game Pass or via digital copies of Rare reproduction (affiliate link).
From what I can tell, the Switch version will be more of a direct port with the addition of online multiplayer. This Xbox version is more of a remaster with native 16: 9 aspect ratio and resolution support up to 4K Ultra HD. It will also have improved controls like dual analog stick support, run at a constant framerate (said to be 60 fps), and include results.
The only problem is that the Xbox version will not have online multiplayer. You can still catch up with friends and enjoy local multiplayer games for up to four players. Which version are you most excited to play? There is currently no release date for the game to be released on any of the platforms.
