The award-winning drama series The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for its sixth and final season. Hulu has announced that it will not only do this Bruce Miller the iconic series is ending, but it is also in development The Testamentsa sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale which resumes several years later. As we prepare for season 5, Miller said this:
It has been a real honor to tell the story of Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking novel and her chilling world, and we are thrilled to bring to viewers a sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale … … We are grateful to Hulu and MGM for letting us tell this. story, which sadly has remained more relevant than ever throughout its run, and I am in awe of our incredible fans for their unwavering support, and without which we would never have gotten to this point.
The fifth season premiered on September 14 and will follow June addressing the aftermath of the killing of Commander Waterford, widow Serena attempting to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Nick and Aunt Lydia to reform Gilead and June, Luke, and Moira who fights Gilead from a distance as she tries to rescue and reunite with Hannah.
