The premiere of “Prey” became a success and the best launch that the Huly and Star + platforms have had. However, the sequel has not been confirmed by 20th Century Studios or Disney, although Dan Trachtenberg already has some ideas for the sequel.

Naru’s story in ‘Prey’was left open, with that ending in which, after defeating the Predator, a ship arrives on Earth, and beyond, it is accompanied by two others. Everything seems to indicate that the sequel may come at some point, however Disney hasn’t confirmed anything about it.

For now, in an interview for the Screen Time podcast, the director Dan Trachtenberg, has revealed that he wants to return for ‘Prey 2’, and I’d be happy to continue expanding the Predator universe, either with Naru’s story, or in a completely different setting.

I would like to be involved [en una secuela de Prey]and I think there are some great things to do next … [sería] interesting to start doing different things “.

Although at the end of the story starring Amber Midthunder, things seem to indicate that there is room for a continuation, Dan Trachtenberg’s idea for ‘Prey 2’ it would be to bring new things. And it should be remembered that, in the past, there have been rumors of bringing the story of the Predator universe into Japanese culture.

Will there be a second Prey film?

After the release of “Prey”, some noticed that, in the credits scene, there was a small reference that left the ending of Naru’s story open. While it wasn’t an official confirmation that there will be a second film, it sets the stage for a possible story.

Regarding that moment in the finale, Dan Trachtenberg referred to the ending of ‘Prey’: “I love that what would have been a post-credits scene in other films is an animated sequence of the final title in our film. Our final titles are still narratives. ”

‘Prey’ is the fifth film in the ‘Predator’ saga, and the most successful in terms of box office and criticism, so a continuation would not be unreasonable, especially with so many possibilities to explore, such as the Vikings, pre-Hispanic cultures, in ancient Egypt and many others.
