Director You West recently announced that it is making a third film for its X horror film franchise. The first two films, X And Pearlwill be followed by a film set in the 1980s titled MaXXXine.
The new film premiered during the Midnight Madness premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. A24 is producing the film and there is a teaser trailer that has been shared that you can watch below. Pearl was a prequel to X And MaXXXine will be a sequel
Protagonist of the first two films, My Gothhe will come back and “reprise one of the two roles in which he played X. ” The story follows Maxine (Goth), “after the events of Xas the only survivor who continues her journey to fame with plans to become an actress in 1980s Los Angeles. “
Filming on the film hasn’t started yet, but they will soon and it’s on the fast track to production. The second film in the series, Pearlwill be released in theaters on September 16.
