During the Marvel Panel at D23 Expo we got to see the whole team of the next Lightning project come together. The team consists of Sebastian Stanthe Winter Soldier, Julie Louis-DreyfusCountess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russellthe United States agent, Hannah John-Kamenis the ghost, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster and of course Florence Pughis Elena Belova. The surprise addition to the group is Davide Portois the Red Guardian.
The film will be directed by Jake Schreierand will be released on July 26, 2024. It is explained that this will be the limit of Phase 5.
No plot details have been released yet, but based on the story of each of these team members, it will create an interesting dynamic for the MCU. Can former enemies and lone agents work together? I’m on board to find out. Let us know what you think.
The project will go into production early next year.
