It doesn’t matter how many years go by and what films are made. Adventure films will probably never have such a charismatic character as ‘Indiana Jones’. The explorer created by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas and played by Harrison Ford will soon return to theaters for one final epic on the big screen. ‘Indiana Jones 5’ will above all be an emotional farewell to the most famous archaeologist in history.
Therefore, Disney and Lucasfilm wanted to bring the film to the panel held during the huge D23 Expo event. The company has decided to present a first preview of the film behind closed doors, which promises fun and, above all, a lot of nostalgia. To complete the act, the studio brought its main actors and actresses to reflect in front of the audience on “Indiana Jones 5”. And the most special moment, of course, was left by Harrison Ford himself.
After showing the short trailer for the film, the actor received a standing ovation from the audience. Excited, he couldn’t help but burst into tears. After commenting that ‘Indiana Jones 5’ will be a “very human” film, the actor confirmed once again that after the premiere he will hang up his whip and hat forever: “That’s it, I won’t fall anymore”. Hopefully director James Mangold manages to give it a nice ending.

While this will be the end of the Indiana Jones character, it’s pretty obvious that Lucasfilm won’t be abandoning one of its most successful franchises. For this reason, he has surrounded Ford with a luxury cast so that, presumably, one of them will pick up the baton from Professor Jones. Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones and Olivier Richters are just some of the names that will complete the cast of the film.
“Indiana Jones 5” will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
