Phil Tippettthe legendary visual effects artist who has worked on films such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Willow, RoboCop, and more, is launching a new film and television production label called Tippett Productions.
The Canadian firm is looking to produce movies and TV projects from a roster of animation and visual effects artists, including several IPs created by Tippett, who recently worked on the insane stop-motion film. Crazy God.
Tippett Canada President Gary Mundellwho is also COO of California-based Tippett Studio, heads the new Toronto-based production company Colin Geddes of Ultra 8 images.
Tippett Productions will be led by Geddes and his partner, writer-producer Katarina Gligorijevic, who will work closely with Mundell and other Tippett team members on the first list of projects.
Mundell said in a statement, “As a visual effects company, Tippett Studio is consistently at the top of its game, with projects like Boba Fett’s book, The Mandalorian, Locke and Key and other. But we are also eager to harness the incredible momentum with which we have achieved Crazy God and expand by creating more original content. With Phil’s creative vision and the team we’ve assembled, this looks like the next natural evolution of the Tippett brand. “
Geddes said: “It has been a real pleasure to work with Phil, Gary and the entire Tippett team. We are incredibly excited about this new phase of our partnership ”.
Tippett added, “This is a great time for the company and I’m very excited to be expanding the original content with Gary, Colin and the rest of the team.”
I can’t wait to see what projects will come out of this new production house.
