The first poster was released for Steven Spielbergthe upcoming film, The Fableswhich is described as “a semi-autobiographical project, drawing on the times when Spielberg grew up in Arizona”.
We don’t really have any details to share about the story, but the film has a great cast that it includes Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paolo Dano, Giulia Butterand newcomer Gabriel La Belle. Williams and Dano will play characters inspired by Spielberg’s parents, while the role of Rogen is influenced by Spielberg’s uncle. LaBelle plays aspiring director Sammy, an analogue of Spielberg, while Butters plays her sister, Anne.
Also present the rest of the ensemble Judd Hirsch, Sam Rechner, Oakes Fegley, Chloe East, Jeannie Berlin, Robin Bartlett, Jonathan Hadary, Isabelle Kusmanand director David Lynch (Eraser, Blue velvet, Twin peaks, Mulholland Drive).
Spielberg also co-wrote the script Tony Kushnerwho has worked with Spielberg in films such as History of the west side, Monk, And Lincoln.
The Fabelmans is expected to be released on November 23, 2022. But this weekend is expected to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
