Retro-Bit recently announced that their popular Nintendo 64 controller, the Tribute64 2.4GHz wireless controller, will receive a new color option. Fans can now head over to Castlemania Games and pre-order a Clear Red version for $ 44.99! This color is inspired by a color variation of the N64 only available in Japan, which is pretty cool. Another aspect of the Clear Red that is important to note is that it will be a V2 wireless controller using a new IC chip due to “global issues affecting manufacturing”. All V2 controllers will have a V2 branding under the logo to distinguish them, but there appear to be no other differences. The Clear Red controller comes with N64 and USB receivers so you can use it with your N64 or your Mac, PC, Switch or other USB devices. If you book one of these, you can currently expect it to arrive in October 2022.
