You can now digitally rent Studio Ghibli movies

Last week, GKIDS announced that Studio Ghibli’s stunning film catalog is now available for rental download in the US and Canada. You can now rent movies from the legendary Japanese studio for just $ 4.99 per HD movie on a variety of platforms. Now, North American fans have three different options to view these titles digitally. In 2019, the catalog was released to be owned digitally and then in 2020 GKIDS launched an exclusive US streaming deal with HBO Max as well. Here is a list of movies now available for digital rental:

  • Earwig and the Witch

  • From the top of Poppy Hill

  • Howl’s Moving Castle

  • Kiki’s delivery service

  • my neighbor Totoro

  • My neighbors the Yamada

  • Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

  • Ocean waves

  • Just yesterday

  • Pom Poko

  • Pony

  • Porco Rosso

  • Princess Mononoke

  • Arrietty’s secret world

  • Spirited Away

  • The tale of Princess Kaguya

  • Tales from Earthsea

  • When Marnie was there

  • Whisper of the heart

  • The wind rises

You can now rent movies via Amazon VOD, Apple TV, Google Play, Microsoft (affiliate link), and Vudu. What will you watch?
