Samantha Morton (Minority relationship, The walking dead) signed to star in the thriller series Paramount + girls on firein front of Ruby Stokes (Bridgerton). The story was adapted from a CJ Tudor novel, and follows a village haunted by a dark and turbulent history.
Morton will play Reverend Jack Brooks, a single parent obsessed with a tragedy from his former church and who bears the burden of her husband’s death. Stokes is her daughter Flo, a teenager who marches to the rhythm of her own drum. They both arrive at Chapel Croft in hopes of a fresh start, but soon discover that the village is full of conspiracies and secrets.
The rest of the cast includes Corrado Khan (Peaky Blinders), Ruperto Graves (Sherlock, Emma), Stranger things star Elodie Grace Orkin, Janie Dee, David Dawson (The last reign), Paul Bradley (East Enders), Jane Lapotaire (The crown, Marie Curie), Jack Roth (Bohemian Rhapsody), Mollie owner (Sanditon), Safia Oakley-Green (The origin, Sherwood), Beth Cordingly (Learning to walk again), And John Macmillian (House of the Dragon).
girls on fire went into production and will arrive at Paramount + in 2023.
