The other day, I was browsing social media and saw an ad for a new game table on Kickstarter. I checked it and it looks really amazing. Project Ironside is a Cloud Puncher Games Kickstarter for an extendable, modular game table starting at just $ 399. It’s very affordable considering many of the best-in-class options start at $ 700-1000. So, it doesn’t have to be able to do much, right? This is why it is cheap. Or maybe it’s small. Well, the measurements provided on Kickstarter are a 3’x5 ‘playing area and has a number of very useful features. First, it can grow. The team offers an extender that adds 2 ‘in length for a 3’x7’ playing area or you can combine two tables together for a 6’x5 ‘or a 3’x10’ with possibly more combinations available to suit your needs. don’t wear don’t advertise. The side rails are only 2.5 inches wide to help maximize playing space while minimizing physical space. Additionally, you can purchase soft armrests to increase comfort as you lean over the table.
Another great feature is that it comes with wooden topper so you can stop and save mid-game. One of the biggest problems with long table games is that you really have to plan things around meals and other things that may require the use of your table. Therefore, you need to find a way to save your game or get people not to eat at the table for the day, etc. These polished and water resistant rubber wood toppers quickly position themselves during the game so that the game state is saved. When used correctly, the toppers will protect your toy from splashes, dust, etc. But wait, there’s more. Project Ironside includes metal legs that can be attached to toppers so you can use them in a variety of ways. They can serve as a table on your table for high playing space. They can be used as side tables to hold the game box or other pieces and more.
So, this sounds really good. In fact, it’s probably made with a bunch of particleboard or something that will fall apart after about a month, right? Well, according to Kickstarter, it’s made of pure steel and can hold over 100kg or 220lbs. The table has an airtight colored coating available in Brilliant Black, Wondrous White or Bravest Brown. It is fine for me.
