Ralph Macchio Teases Potential KARATE KID Cinematic Universe That Could Come From COBRA KAI

Cobra Kai it’s such a damn good show. It’s better than any sequel series I’ve seen, even when I’ve taken the lore from Karate Kid movie sequel and building this believable and sincere world around the poorer parts of it, and making it captivating. He continues to make me laugh and keep me involved in every aspect of the story and, according to one of the stars of the movies and series, Ralph Macchiowho plays Daniel LaRusso, we may end up seeing many more stories of this world told outside of Cobra Kai.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, Macchio teased a potential “Karate Kid Cinematic Universe”, saying:

“The thing that was created, there’s a kind of Karate Kid cinematic universe now where Cobra KaI am, you know, in the center of this and when that day comes for a landing, there are other areas to draw from. I mean, what about … Is there a story about Miyagi’s origins? There’s a Cobra Kai prequel first The child of karate? Are there any spin-offs with some of the young cast of these characters? Who knows? But we’re not done as long as we’re given the opportunity to really bring it inside. As long as it evolves organically, these guys who write the show really have the pulse of it. There are things they wrote in season 3 that didn’t happen until season 4 because there was no more space in season 3. There are things that were in season 5 that we know we shot and that will hold for the future if we get that green light, so there’s more to come, let’s hope “.

I feel like with Cobra Kai, the original cast members are so perfectly preserved, they age very well and quickly return to those iconic roles, then they have the awesome new cast members and writers who are super fans of the original content, and it all just makes for a perfect narrative environment . I would love to see a movie or other spin-off in this universe if all of these same people were involved.
