ROCKSMITH + will be launched next week!

I love the guitar and I love games, which is why I have come to love Ubisoft Rocksmith series. It is a video game that teaches you to play a real guitar in gameplay similar to classic titles like Guitar Hero And Rock band (two other games that I absolutely love). A long time ago, Ubisoft announced the new iteration of Rocksmith would be Rocksmith + and it would be a subscription service where you pay a monthly or yearly fee and get access to the entire catalog of songs they prepare for it. The other day, Ubisoft revealed further details, including the fact that the game will be released next week, on September 6th.

At launch, Rocksmith + will feature over 5,000 songs across a wide range of genres and will include a variety of artists such as “The Clash, Juan Gabriel, Eurythmics, Cake, Muddy Waters, Natalia Lafourcade, Alicia Keys, Boston, Martinho Da Vila, Peter Tosh, Santana, Van Morrison and many others “. The game previously contained a closed beta and I got to play it briefly. The user interface was a bit cluttered from what I remember, but I hope they made it a little more intuitive. Aside from that, it seemed to play someone else Rocksmith game. Rocksmith + offers some new features though like the Rocksmith + Connect mobile app that will allow you to use your phone’s microphone for gaming instead of requiring the use of Rocksmith Real tone cable. Also, some audio interfaces will be compatible. Unfortunately, Ubisoft will not provide any support for the third party interfaces used and will not guarantee compatibility with any.

Another novelty is the Rocksmith Workshop that will allow you to transcribe your own song arrangements in the game. It is important to note that you cannot add music, create your own music or something. These are simply arrangements of songs that Ubisoft is allowed to include Rocksmith +.

I am very excited for Rocksmith + for launch on September 6th! At launch, the game will be available exclusively on PC and as it is a subscription service, it is limited to the Ubisoft Store (affiliate link). There are 3 subscription options as follows: 1 month for $ 14.99, 3 months for $ 39.99 or 12 months for $ 99.99. If you have others Rocksmith you play or participate in the closed beta, you will be entitled to an extra month for free if you get a 3-month subscription or 3 months more if you get an annual subscription. What songs will you learn and play?
