Production of the first season of the upcoming series project has ended Tulsa kingwhich was created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1883, mayor of Kingstown) And Terence Winter (Empire of the waterfront). Sylvester Stallone shared a video on social media in which he gives a speech saying that he “had so much fun” and that he “never worked so hard” in his life. He went on to say, “What we invented is something extraordinary and life changing for me. Keep punching, I love you guys.
He also shared the following note with the video:
TULSA KING… This was a very long, difficult, exciting and mind-blowing production that just wrapped up in Oklahoma. Even though it was a long time to be away, it was worth it and working with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera. The story follows the Italian mobster from New York City who is forced to move to the most unlikely place: Tulsa, Oklahoma, after spending 25 years in prison after being unceremoniously exiled by his boss. The series is set in the present day and the mobster faces the surprising task of reestablishing his Italian mafia family in the modernized city of Tulsa. There, Sal meets surprising and unsuspecting characters who follow him along his unconventional path to power.
The show is also the protagonist Andrea Wild (I’m sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenico Lombardozzi (The Irish), Vincenzo Piazza (Empire of the waterfront), Jay Will (The wonderful Mrs. Maisel), AC Peterson (Superman and Lois) with Garrett Hedlund (The United States versus Billie Holiday).
Tulsa king will premiere on November 13, 2022.
