Jennifer Connelly joins Joel Edgerton in the sci-fi series DARK MATTER on Apple TV +

Oscar Prize Jennifer Connelly (A brilliant mind, Top Gun: Maverick) joined the cast of the Apple TV + sci-fi series Dark matterin which he will act opposite Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Boy deleted). The series is an adaptation of the Blake crouched novel. Crouch is adapting the story for the screen and will also serve as executive producer and showrunner. Edgerton is also an executive producer. Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl of Matt Tolmach Productions are executive producers, with Jakob Verbruggen set to direct the first three episodes.

The series “will follow Jason Dessen (Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who – one night walking home through the streets of Chicago – is kidnapped in an alternate version of his life. The wonder quickly turns into a nightmare as he tries to return to his reality of him in the midst of the multiverse of lives he could have lived. In this maze of shocking realities, he embarks on a harrowing journey to return to his true family and save them from the most terrifying and unbeatable enemy imaginable: himself.

Connelly will play Daniela, Jason’s wife.

Crouch’s works were previously adapted for television. His Wayward Pines trilogy of novels was adapted into the Fox drama series Rebel pineswhile his novel Good behaviour was adapted into a series of the same name for TNT.
