Birds of prey star Mary Elizabeth Winstead is collaborating with Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness star Xochitl Gomez for a new science fiction film project titled Great Bear. The film comes from sibling directors Jonathan And Josh Bakerwho was previously at the helm Relative.
Winstead and Gomez will play the roles of Charlie and Natalie, “mother and daughter fighting for survival on an Earth-like planet, hiding from a group of relentless hunters with the added threat of an impending and deadly storm approaching. But Natalie, now a teenager, has begun to question her mother’s decisions, her explanation of who they are, how they got here and what they need to do to survive. “
It sounds like an interesting story that will make a great movie. The original screenplay was written by Patrick Somerville (Eleven Station) with Colleen O’Brien And Katie French. Somerville will also produce the film.
There is some solid talent attached to this film, and as a fan of Winstead and her film work, I can’t wait to watch this sci-fi film!
