clandestine director Joe Penna is set to direct a new sci-fi thriller for Endeavor Content titled offender. The film is produced by Jason Fuchs (Argylle, welcome to Derry), Brad Fuller (The Purge, A Quiet Place), And Alixandra Fuchswith Alessio Ginno serving as an executive producer.
The film is described as a “genre story set in the wilderness of Alaska, where a father and daughter living in isolation encounter a mysterious otherworldly creature and are catapulted on a journey of danger, survival and redemption.”
The film is based on a Black List script written by Gabe Hobson and adapted from Justin M. Ryangraphic novel published by Alterna Comics in 2017. offender was originally released in 2016 as a four-issue digital series available for download via Amazon’s Comixology portal.
Ryan ended up launching a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund a commercial paperback version that collected all four of the original digital issues. There are some successful producers attached to this film project, so there’s a good chance it turns out to be a good movie!
