Dan Aykroyd (ghost Buster) And Chevy Chase (National Lampoon Holidays) joined the cast of indie thriller for teens City of zombiesbased on the novel by Goose bumps author RL Stine. The couple had previously starred together on the big screen for the 1985 comedy Spies like us.
Aykroyd and Chase joined the stars of the cast earlier Henry Czerny (of the Mission Impossible franchise) and co-teen lead Marlon Kazadi (Riverdale) And Madi Monroe (General Attaway). The ensemble cast includes Scott Thompson And Bruce McCulloch of comic sketch show Boys in the room.
Canadian animator Pietro Lepeniotis (Work crazy, Gnome alone) will direct City of zombies. In the adaptation of Stine’s children’s book, “a quiet town is turned upside down when young Mike and his friend Amy watch a horror movie called City of zombies and unexpectedly see the title characters jump off the screen and chase them around the cinema.
City of zombies will premiere in US theaters before streaming on Hulu and then on ABC Australia in 2023.
