Persephone and Hades have certainly enjoyed a wave of attention in comics lately. With the popularity of Lore Olympus and again the general interest in mythology, unsurprisingly this pair has taken on a far more prominent role today than ever.
Now a new series from the writer Geneva Valentine’s Day (Catwoman) and illustrated in competing points of view by Annie Wu (Hawkeye, Black Canary) e Ming Doyle (The Banks, DC Comics: Anatomy of a Metahuman) seems to tell the classic myth again. Two tombs it takes on double points of view which should prove to be very interesting. Here is the double synopsis:
Emilia and the man with the veil of smoke left for the ocean in a stolen truck. There’s a bloody handprint on her neck. She’s starting to worry it’s about her.
Death and the girl go on a journey. Nobody comes home alive.
It seems like a new and interesting way to tell this story, so if you’ve been on the Persephone and Hades train lately, this would be a good way to check it out. You can find Two tombs n. 1 November 9 in the comic store and digitally.
