Hulu released the trailer for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5, which offers us an interesting look into the continuing history of Elizabeth Moss’ June. The Season 4 finale saw June killing Commander Waterford after years of being brutally abused by him, and this next season will explore the punishment he will suffer for committing his justifiable crimes.
In the new season, “June faces the aftermath of killing Commander Waterford as she struggles to redefine her identity and purpose. Widow Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Nick and Aunt Lydia as they try to reform Gilead and rise to power June, Luke and Moira fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to rescue and reunite with Hannah.
The series is also the protagonist Bradley Whitford, Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, OT Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Anna Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Genevieve AngelsonAnd Sam Jaeger.
The Handmaid’s Tale The fifth season will debut on September 14th.
