Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming action thriller Louwhat stars Jury Smollett whose daughter is kidnapped. He teams up with a mysterious woman portrayed Allison Janney and together they embark on a dangerous mission to hunt down the kidnapper and find the child. It’s going to be an intense movie and it looks like Janney and Smollett are giving solid performances.
Here is the synopsis of the film:
Believing she has left her dangerous past behind, Lou (Janney) finds her quiet life cut short when a desperate mother (Smollett) begs her to save her kidnapped daughter. As a massive storm rages, the two women risk their lives on a rescue mission that will test their limits and uncover dark and shocking secrets from their past.
Smollett not only stars in the film, but she is also a producer, and when she talks about it, she told the New York Times. “Lou it was the first film I produced and I see myself much more involved in that role. I hope to kickstart more unique voices and directors who are creating inclusive stories, targeting people who are not normally centered in this kind of story. “
Lou looks like a solid movie and will be streamed on Netflix on September 23, 2022.
