MoviePass will be back on work day and here are the details

The original movie subscription service, MoviePass, is making a big comeback on Labor Day in beta with a new tiered pricing system.

The renewed subscription service will launch on Thursday, August 25, with a waitlist posted on its website at 9:00 am ET where people looking to join the beta can sign up.

It is explained that the waiting list will be open for five days and registration will be free based on the order of arrival. “The first batch of successful candidates will be notified on Labor Day when three subscription pricing tiers will be offered.”

Pricing for tiers includes $ 10, $ 20, or $ 30 per month, and “each subscription option will give the user credits to be cashed out each month to view the movies. There will not be an unlimited viewing option during the beta. service”.

Most major theater chains now have their own subscription services, and because of that, and the dark history of MoviePass, I don’t think it will work. I signed up for MoviePass when it first launched, but it was a hassle for various reasons. These movie subscription services are much more stable. I will not abandon mine for MoviePass.

Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas, the company behind HBO’s Emmy nomination McMillions, is currently developing a documentary on the rise and fall of MoviePass. Will MoviePass Resurrect? Will you sign up for MoviePass?
