The rights to the hit video game tomb Raider are currently up for grabs. MGM recently lost them and whoever gets them later will start all over again from scratch Alicia Vikander he is no longer involved.
Actress Aubrey Square he recently threw his hat in the ring to potentially star in the film, when the franchise is finally rebooted. Edgar Wright kicked it all off after seeing a poster for the latest Plaza movie Emilia the Criminaland he thought she got the role of Lara Croft, and congratulated her, only to find she wasn’t playing Croft.
Speaking to Newsweek recently, Plaza was asked if she would ever step into the character role, and said she loves the thought, and also talked about how similar he is to Croft in the poster, saying:
“Look, I have no idea what the future holds for me, but I love it. It was so funny when she texted me because I didn’t realize how surprisingly similar those photos were. Emily has a shoulder strap and Lara Croft has a gun holster, those are very different. But it’s very strange and totally accidental, but I take it. “
The photo above is the same image used for the poster Emily The Criminal. She definitely seems capable of playing the role of Lara Croft. Will she ever happen? Only time will tell. What do you think though? Would you like to see Plaza play Croft in a movie?
