Netflix and Entertainment Weekly have released some first photos of their highly anticipated sequel Enola Holmes 2starring returning Millie Bobby Brown. The first film follows Enola, Sherlock Holmes’ teenage sister, as she makes her way through Victorian England. Now, Enola and her deductive abilities are back, this time facing a conspiracy that could prove her case more dangerous than her. “After successfully solving her first case, the young Enola is now following in the footsteps of her famous brother (Henry Cavill) as he attempts to open his own detective agency (and hopefully get out of Sherlock’s shadow).
“Enola’s new adventure begins after a young girl who works in a match factory hired her to locate her missing sister. Before long, Enola finds herself embroiled in a high-risk chase across London, traveling from the city’s seedy industrial underbelly to glittering high society galas.
Brown and Cavill are returning to the project together Helena Bonham Carter like his free-spirited mother Eudoria Holmes, e Luigi Pernice as Enola’s gentle love interest, Tewkesbury. Brown spoke about the sequel, saying:
“We set the film in the hustle and bustle of London, which is something we didn’t see much in the first film. We got to really see what this girl is doing in this crazy city that surrounds her night and day, and we’re going to explore these places in great detail.” .
Director Harry Bradbeerwho is returning after directing the first film, said:
“I wanted this story to be more raw. I wanted to introduce it to working class girls in a working class world. I wanted it to be a whole new world for Enola, so it was more out of its depth.”
It looks and feels like it will be as fun as the first movie! My family really enjoyed it Enola Holmesand we can’t wait for the next chapter of the story. Enola Holmes 2 will be released on Netflix on November 4th. See the photos below:
