Geek teens will have their eyes peeled in the upcoming SPECS supernatural horror comic series

Be careful what you wish for. This is a phrase that is often said and in the new supernatural horror comic series Specifications a group of teenagers will learn this the hard way. In a story written by David M. Booher (I sing), drawn by Chris Shehan (House of the massacre), and colored by Romano Stevensa group of misfit teenagers order a pair of original glasses which lead to some horrible consequences.

All high school students Kenny and Ted want is not to feel like outcasts in their small Ohio town. But their world is turned upside down when the Magic Specs they ordered unlock a world of unexpected possibilities … and consequences. Their fun starts innocently enough, but when they wish their bully to disappear, things take a cursed turn, with much more obscure results than they thought possible …

Speaking of his new series, Booher said:

SPECS is my most personal story so far. As a gay boy growing up in the Midwest, I know how it feels not to fit in. The story of Kenny and Ted as strangers, filtered through the lenses of the novelty wish-granting glasses, is my way of reminding that kid that he will find his place in the world.

Shehan added:

The story of a magical object that grants wishes … what could possibly go wrong? David Booher, as usual, has invested heavily in SPECS and bringing it to life has been such a joy for me.

publisher Elizabeth Brei shared:

SPECS is an 80s adventure film, supernatural horror and small town kids experiencing very strange events that will change them and their friends forever. David and Chris have perfectly captured the chaos of the trapped teenagers they created themselves and it’s up to you, dear readers, to find out if they can escape with their life or sanity intact.
