‘Sandman’ series arrived on Netflix on August 5th. After many years of Neil Gaiman rejecting any production attempts set in his comic series, the story starring Morpheus finally reached the streaming platform at the hands of Allan Heinberg and David S. Goyer. Played by Tom Sturridge, the series did big numbers during its first ten available days.

According to data provided by Netflix, “The Sandman” maintained the top 10 position on the charts during its first seven days of release. This is very rare for brand new productions, as well as for the first few days of availability.
Additionally, “The Sandman” garnered 198 million total viewing hours during its first ten days. and this places the series as one of the most successful Netflix productions since this kind of data started rolling out in June 2021. The only two English series that had a better launch than their first season during their first ten days were “Who is Anna?”, with 273.3 million hours, and ‘The assistant’ with 227.6 million. The series thus ranks in third position, surpassing other major productions such as ‘Vikings: Valhalla’.
And now that?
Will it reach the viewing numbers achieved by the first two series during the next few weeks of release? “Who is Anna?” got 130.8 million hours in its third week, while “La assistant” got 129.3. Figures apparently still very difficult to reach, albeit in the same way we will have to wait to know for sure if ‘The Sandman’ will be able to surprise us again with its numbers in the coming days.
