It seems that the overseas version of the New Year’s comedy is not that different from ours.
The trailer of the sensational Hollywood remake of the Soviet film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath” has appeared on the Internet. The actors selected for the main roles are surprisingly similar to Barbara Brylska and Andrey Myagkov – a blond beauty with intelligent eyes and a shy romantic.
Hollywood recently decided to film an English-language adaptation of the play by Eldar Ryazanov and Emil Braginsky about unexpected love on New Year’s Eve. The lead roles went to Emma Roberts and Thomas Mann. As in the Soviet version, the main characters are tormented by the fact that they never met real, magical love, until fate brings them together. The film will premiere on September 9, while the trailer can be seen on YouTube.
