
An intense trailer has been released for the limited series of global thrillers Last light which is headed for Peacock. The series is the protagonist Matteo Volpe (Lost) And Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) as a couple facing the collapse of society while trying to keep their family safe. They are joined in the cast of the series from Alyth Ross, Taylor Fay, Amber Rosa Revah, Vittorio Alli, Tom WlaschihaAnd Hakeem Jomah.
The synopsis reads:
Last light Andy Yeats, played by LostMatthew Fox, a petrochemist who spends his time examining our current oil reserves. While on a business trip to the Middle East, Andy discovers that his worst fears are materializing. What’s more, he now finds himself separated from his family at a pivotal time both personally and globally. With both small and large disasters occurring around the world, his now fractured family will have to deal with the disaster alone. Laura, her teenage daughter, is home alone in London. While his wife, Elena, and his son Sam are stranded in Paris. Each of the Yeats family will have to fight against all odds to find each other.
The series is directed by Dennie Gordon (Blood line, Jack Ryan by Tom Clancy), and adapted from Patrick Massett, Patrick RenaultAnd John Zinmanbased on Alex ScarrowThe novel of the same name.
It looks like it could be a really interesting and well done series. I like the cast and the other work the director has done, so I think I’ll give it a try. Check out the trailer below and watch Last light on Peacock on September 8th.
