First look at Hulu’s romantic comedy ROMEO & JULIET reinventing ROSALINE starring Kaitlyn Dever

20th Century Studios has released some preview photos for its upcoming reimagining of the romantic comedy Romeo and Julietwhich is titled Rosalina.

The film is the protagonist Kaitlyn Dever (Dopeck, Booksmart) and the story is “told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin, Rosaline (Dever), who is also Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo (Kyle Allen) meets Juliet (Isabella Merced) and starts chasing her, Rosaline plans to foil the famous romance and win her boyfriend back.

The film is also the protagonist Sean Teale (Skins), Minni Driver (Without words, Grosse Pointe Blank), And Bradley Whitford (The West Wing, Exit, The Handmaid’s Tale).

I’m actually looking forward to seeing this movie, as the script comes from Scott Neustadter And Michael H. Weberwho also wrote (500 days in summer, which is a movie I loved. The film is an adaptation of the novel When you were mine from Rebecca Serle.

The film was directed by Karen Maine (Yes, God, yes), and was produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen And Dan Levin.

The film will premiere on Hulu on October 14.
