With the announcement of the creation of DC Studios and plans that would take 10 years for DCEU’s future, the company has begun to reveal the next steps within its cinematic universe. Walter Hamada, president of DC Films, has plans to adapt the narrative arc of “Crisis on Infinite Earths”.
For fans of comics and the CW universe, ‘crisis on infinite lands’ is one of the biggest DC Comics eventsand that it would serve as the DCEU’s big event, serving as the seminal point, as well as ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in Marvel Studios.
According to information from the Hollywood Reporter, Walter Hamada plans an event of ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’, but with the restructuring of Warner Bros. Discovery, the details on the development of this film, and if it is still in the company’s plans, have remained in limbo.
Walter Hamada was hired in 2018 by Warner and had plans to release 3 or 4 DCEU films per year and chart what the future of the extended universe would be after Zack Snyder’s departure. And even if projects like James Gunn’s or “Blue Bettle” are still in development for now unknown stage of development ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’.
