Netflix and Dark Horse have agreed to extend their first deal. Under the multi-year deal, Dark Horse will continue to give Netflix a first look at its IP for both movies and TV. This deal has brought us such shows and films as Polar, Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi ChroniclesAnd Chicken and the hamster of darkness. They also recently collaborated on the popular’s third season The Umbrella Academy and their 8 episode series Grendelbased on the comic by Matt Wagner, is currently in post production. But the really exciting news are the new series that have been announced.

First we will have a cartoon movie Burst! from Kind Matt And Wilfredo Torres. Hero Idris Elba and directed by David Leitch, the film follows the world’s most famous spy as he tracks down a terrorist cult trying to start the apocalypse with a series of brainwashing novels. I haven’t read the comic, but I’m really excited to see it. People have long wanted Elba to play James Bond, so it should be cool to see him in this spy role.

The second project announced is Mind MGMTa serial adaptation of the Kindt comic series. Curtis Gwinn (Stranger things) will executive produce this crazy science fiction series. When a young woman stumbles upon Mind Management’s top secret program, she tries to find the man who was MIND MGMT’s greatest success and most devastating failure. He must navigate among armed psychics, hypnotic advertisements, talking dolphins and seemingly immortal pursuers. In a world where people can rewrite reality, can she really trust everything she is seeing? It looks like it’s going to be a wild ride, but I’m excited to see who they end up playing the role.

Does one of these projects seem interesting to you? I think they both sound like they’re really cool to watch.
