Paramount Pictures has announced the release dates of a couple of its upcoming family movies. Sonic the hedgehog 3 will be released on December 20, 2024 and his Untitled Smurfs animated musical will be released on February 14, 2025.
So far, the Sonic franchise has been great! I never expected the first movie to be as good and fun as it was. Then the sequel ended up being just as good, so I can’t wait to see what this third film in the franchise offers.
The franchise revolves around a small town police officer (James Marsden) and his blue hedgehog friend Sonic (Ben Schwartz) while fighting Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), an evil genius who tries to make him the subject of his experiments.
When the third film was announced, Haruki SatomiSega Corporation CEO said, “We are delighted to announce that the third Sonic cinematic film and the first Sonic live action series for Paramount + are in active development. We have an amazing partnership with Paramount and are thrilled to continue to develop. expand the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise with them. 2022 promises to be a significant year for the franchise with the second film coming out in April, as well as Sonic Frontiers, the highly anticipated video game title, coming this holiday. fans all over the world for over 30 years and we look forward to continuing to bring them memorable moments and experiences for many years to come. “
As for the Smurfs, there are no details on what this new movie will entail. But, I don’t really care for the Smurfs movie.
